On Saturday, 29 October 2016, at night at around 1:00, in Kaunas, on P. Plechavičiaus street near No. 27, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a BMW 525 D and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
