On Monday, 31 October 2016, in the morning at 6:30, in Kauno district municipality, Ramučių village, on A6 Kaunas-Zarasai-Daukpilis street, at the junction with Centrinė street, an Alfa Romeo 156 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 40-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Alfa Romeo (5 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties and failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
