On Saturday, 12 November 2016, in the afternoon at 15:54, in Kaunas, on Minties Rato street near No. 43, at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus al., a BMW 318 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
