On Saturday, 4 August 2018, at night at 4:50, in Kaunas, on Minties Rato street, at the junction with Gėlių Rato street, a Peugeot 307 hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 31-year-old passenger of the Peugeot (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 23-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.65‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
