On Thursday, 27 June 2019, in the afternoon at 15:30, in Kaunas, on J. Basanavičiaus al. near No. 4, at the junction with Minties Rato street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Doblo and a Mercedes-Benz C 200 CDI. Two people were injured — the 20-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient) and a 22-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Fiat (18 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober.
