On Monday, 14 November 2016, at night at around 3:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 94), an Audi A4 WW. Audi S4 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 100 km/h.
