On Wednesday, 8 February 2017, in the evening at 17:01, in Kelmės district municipality, on Dariaus ir Girėno street, at the junction with Vytauto Didžiojo street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Koegel SN 24 and an Audi A6 Avant. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Koegel (35 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
