On Friday, 10 February 2017, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on P. Lukšio street, at the junction with V. Landsbergio-Žemkalnio street, a Toyota Camry hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 24-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 75-year-old driver of the Toyota (48 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
