On Saturday, 1 April 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Skuodo district municipality, on Vaižganto street near No. 8, at the junction with Šatrijos street, a side collision with neither vehicle turning occurred. The collision involved a Lexus IS 220 d and a BMW. Two people were injured — a 38-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and the 47-year-old driver of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Lexus (13 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
