On Thursday, 20 April 2017, in the morning at around 6:00, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 120.85), an Audi A6 ran off the road. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Audi (4 years of driving experience), who was driving fatigued, failed to choose a safe speed and fell asleep at the wheel.
