On Thursday, 8 June 2017, in the afternoon at 15:14, in Kaunas, on Siūlų street, at the junction with Drobės street, an Audi A4 registered in Sweden ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.63‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
