On Thursday, 29 November 2018, at night at around 3:00, in Kaunas, on Siūlų street near No. 14, a Mercedes-Benz hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz, who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
