On Saturday, 5 August 2017, at night at around 4:00, in Kaunas, on Jurbarko street, at the junction with Jonavos street, a BMW 525 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the BMW (less than a year of driving experience). He was drunk (1.05‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
