On Friday, 21 July 2017, in the evening at 19:14, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 34.60), a Peugeot 806 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Peugeot (11 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
