On Thursday, 23 August 2018, in the afternoon at around 12:00, in Trakų district municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 37.31), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a MAN and a Ford Focus C-MAX. One person was injured — the 28-year-old driver of the Ford (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the MAN (24 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
