On Sunday, 5 November 2017, in the afternoon at 15:28, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr. near No. 33, a Peugeot Boxer hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 27-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.62‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
