On Sunday, 17 December 2017, in the evening at 21:05, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta d. pusė) main road (kilometre 19.52), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a DAF registered in Czechia, an Opel Zafira - A and a Schwarzmuller SPA 3/E registered in Czechia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the DAF (15 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober.
