On Saturday, 6 January 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Jotvingių street near No. 15, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Lexus RX300 and a Mercedes-Benz A170. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Lexus (17 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He was drunk (1.42‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
