On Friday, 26 January 2018, in the evening at 19:20, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 287.30), a Skoda Yeti ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Skoda (15 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
