On Saturday, 14 April 2018, in the evening at 19:10, in Kauno district municipality, on the Kaunas–Zarasai–Daugpilis (kelio ruožo su skir. juosta k. pusė) main road (kilometre 12), a collision while turning right occurred. The collision involved a Rover 416, a Skoda Superb and a Volvo XC90. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Rover (52 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.04‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
