On Friday, 15 June 2018, in the evening at 19:41, in Vilnius, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Tūkstantmečio street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Mercedes-Benz, a BMW, an Audi 80 and a Renault Scenic. One person was injured — the 57-year-old driver of the Audi (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.10‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
