On Friday, 29 June 2018, in the morning at 8:15, in Kaunas, on Tunelio street near No. 26, a Mercedes-Benz Vito 109 CDI hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. Two people were injured — a 30-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 2-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient, was not wearing a seatbelt). The accident was caused by the 34-year-old driver of the Mercedes-Benz (10 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. The driver was sober.
