On Sunday, 12 August 2018, in the afternoon at 16:56, in Pasvalio district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Pasvalys–Ryga main road (kilometre 46.50), a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (28 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
