On Saturday, 25 August 2018, in the afternoon at 14:20, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Šakinių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 289), an Audi 80 Avant ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 38-year-old driver of the Audi (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
