On Saturday, 18 May 2019, in the evening at 17:45, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 289), an Opel Astra rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Opel (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
