On Saturday, 25 August 2018, in the evening at around 18:00, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Prienai–Alytus national road (kilometre 21.50), a Renault Megane hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 37-year-old driver of the Renault (8 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
