On Monday, 3 September 2018, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Klaipėda–Liepoja main road (kilometre 14.90), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Citroen Berlingo and a Toyota Corolla Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Citroen (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
