On Wednesday, 17 October 2018, in the evening at 21:05, in Kaunas, on S. Žukausko street near No. 15, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Volkswagen Golf. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Passat (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
