On Saturday, 27 October 2018, in the evening at 20:20, in Prienų district municipality, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 24), a Volkswagen Multivan registered in Estonia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 58-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (39 years of driving experience), who failed to comply with road signs or markings.
