On Monday, 5 November 2018, in the evening at 17:20, in Šiaulių district municipality, Kužių town, on Gruzdžių street, a Ford Galaxy hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 65-year-old driver of the Ford (23 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.92‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
