On Friday, 7 June 2024, in the afternoon at 16:36, in Šiaulių district municipality, Kužių town, on Gruzdžių street, at the junction with Šiauliai - Palanga A11 street, a Volvo V70 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 60-year-old driver of the Volvo (42 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.40‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
