On Thursday, 27 December 2018, in the evening at 18:54, in Telšių district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 67.45), a Mazda 6 ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Mazda, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.18‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
