On Monday, 14 January 2019, in the afternoon at 12:05, in Šiauliai, on Tilžės street, at the junction with Pramonės street, a Volvo registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Volvo (8 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
