On Friday, 18 January 2019, in the evening at 20:40, in Prienų district municipality, Kuprių village, on the Kaunas–Marijampolė–Suvalkai main road (kilometre 34.30), a Volvo FH 42T registered in Russia hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 52-year-old driver of the Volvo (32 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
