On Saturday, 26 January 2019, in the evening at 22:30, in Vilnius, on Salomėjos Nėries street, at the junction with P. Žadeikos street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 15-year-old driver of the Opel, who committed other traffic rule violations. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 40 km/h.
