On Saturday, 9 March 2019, in the evening at around 22:00, in Kaunas, on K. Baršausko street, at the junction with M. Riomerio street, an Opel Corsa hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 32-year-old driver of the Opel (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
