On Wednesday, 17 July 2019, in the evening at 19:06, in Biržų district municipality, on the Biržai–Raubonys national road (kilometre 6.40), a Volkswagen Passat ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 35-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed.
