On Thursday, 3 October 2019, in the evening at 19:30, in Kėdainių district municipality, Juodgirio village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 136.25), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S80 and a BMW 320D. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volvo (12 years of driving experience), who violated overtaking rules. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
