On Saturday, 4 January 2020, in the afternoon at 12:39, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 174.70), a BMW X5 xDrive30d registered in Great Britain rolled over. Two people were injured — a 5-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient) and a 8-year-old passenger of the BMW (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 36-year-old driver of the BMW (10 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
