On Thursday, 16 January 2020, in the afternoon at 16:25, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 118), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 Avant and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — a 63-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Audi, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (2.55‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence.
