On Saturday, 7 March 2020, in the evening at around 18:00, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Danutės street, an Audi A6 WW. Audi S6 hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person died — a 50-year-old pedestrian. One person was injured — a 10-year-old pedestrian (severely injured, hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Audi (4 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
