On Friday, 25 December 2020, in the evening at 18:34, in Panevėžys, on Nemuno street, at the junction with Danutės street, a Renault Clio hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 11-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 12-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 81-year-old driver of the Renault (25 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
