On Friday, 3 April 2020, in the morning at 8:30, in Šiaulių district municipality, on the Aleksandrija–Ginkūnai national road (kilometre 2.50), a Toyota Yaris ran off the road. Two people were injured — a 14-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and a 12-year-old passenger of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 40-year-old driver of the Toyota (7 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 70 km/h.
