On Sunday, 3 May 2020, in the morning at 7:59, in Panevėžio district municipality, on the Anykščiai–Troškūnai–Panevėžys national road (kilometre 53), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 206, a 2PTS-4 and a MTZ 82-1. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Peugeot, who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.07‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
