On Monday, 6 July 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Alytaus district municipality, on the Alytus–Seirijai–Lazdijai national road (kilometre 4), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Scania P 420 registered in Poland, a DAF FT XF105.460 registered in Poland, a Krone SD registered in Poland and a Krone SDP27 registered in Poland. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 64-year-old driver of the Scania (45 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
