On Friday, 7 August 2020, in the evening at 21:55, in Birštono municipality, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 92.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Toyota RAV4 and a Chrysler PT Cruiser. Two people were injured — the 47-year-old driver of the Toyota (treated as an outpatient) and the 67-year-old driver of the Chrysler (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 47-year-old driver of the Toyota (15 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
