On Sunday, 9 August 2020, in the evening at around 17:00, in Kaunas, on P. Lukšio street near No. 1A, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V60 and a Skoda Octavia. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Volvo (38 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.65‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
