On Thursday, 27 August 2020, in the afternoon at around 15:00, in Plungės district municipality, on the Šiauliai–Palanga main road (kilometre 97), an Opel Zafira hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Opel (35 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He fled the scene.
