On Sunday, 30 August 2020, in the evening at 19:30, in Kauno district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 115.98), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Ford. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 130 km/h.
