On Monday, 5 October 2020, in the evening at around 20:00, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr. near No. 80A, at the junction with Kovo 11-osios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Peugeot 407 and a Mercedes-Benz E 320 CDI. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Peugeot (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
